I frequently receive inquiries about what to prepare for flat-lay detail photos. Here’s the list I provide to every bride to ensure we are fully prepared for the big day!

  1. Invitation Suite: Include the main invitation, RSVP card, envelopes, and any additional stationery with a cohesive look.
  2. Rings: Both engagement and wedding rings should be included, along with any ring boxes. I also have an array of ring boxes in every color that I bring along just in case!
  3. Jewelry: Earrings, necklaces, bracelets, or any heirloom pieces that hold sentimental value.
  4. Perfume + Cologne Bottle: A beautifully designed perfume or cologne bottle can add a personal touch and an element of luxury.
  5. Shoes: Both Bride and Grooms shoes -- I also take solo photos of these!
  6. Veil or Hairpiece: Incorporate elements of the bridal attire to provide texture and context.
  7. Bouquet and/or Loose Flowers: Add color and natural beauty with fresh blooms and greenery. I’ll also take solo photos of your bouquet!
  8. Special Keepsakes: Any personal mementos or tokens that hold special significance to the couple.
  9. Fabric Swatches: Use pieces of lace or silk that match the wedding theme to add layers and depth. I bring along a few of my own as well!

By gathering these items before I arrive, we save a ton of time (which is precious on wedding day) and it ensures we don’t forget anything in the moment by trying to rush. I typically grab these first thing so I can return them back to you for getting ready.
